These can all be found at Skinbase ( link is over on the left hand column ) along with a number of others that I've made... at least I hope they can still be, the site was hacked by some idiots recently...
Coolplayer
An excellent little music player with a very small footprint that features an eight band graphic equaliser and which, with the relevant plugin, is fully capable of playing your cds. Sadly development of the Coolplayer went into suspended animation, and for some reason the facility to skin the playlist isn't available with the later versions, but I still like it as a player... and the fact that it can be run as a standalone from its own desktop folder is a real bonus.
Sysmetrix
Some years ago Nicholas Decker produced one of the best loved, and most useful little desktop applications ever ~ Sysmetrix ~ a neat little system monitor with a plethora of added features ( email monitor, weather monitor, media player controls... to name but a few of its extras ).
It has a host of copycats, many of which pretend to be a cut above Sysmetrix... but none of them really cut the mustard in quite the same way... yet all credit to Nick he has kept the application freeware when in reality he could probably have made a small fortune out of it.
This isn't all Freeware, but the majority of it is. They are, however, all programs that I particulary like and felt were worth a mention.
I want to say thanks to
all the people who have put PS and PSP tutorials on the web.
Since I bought a copy of Photoshop7 I have
used a few sites to get to
grips with the program.
It was during this time that I discovered that there were also a lot of good tuts for
PaintShop ~ wish I'd known about that before!
Here are a few of the better tutorial sites that I still graze from time to time.
